I wanted to let everyone know that new mc13224v hardware is now
available through Redwire:

I hope that people will find these boards to be useful for development
and to kickstart their own projects and products.

The main board is the RedBee-module which is a small PCB that includes
the mc13224v, pcb antenna, reset button, flash reset dip switches, 24
MHz crystal and 32.768 kHz crystal, as well as an optional mini JTAG
header, and buck inductor. All of the useful mc13224v's pins are
available through a 50-pin connector on the underside. This module can
be used with other RedBee development boards or your own application
specific boards. (Documentation will be available soon.)

There are two application boards available now. The first is the "dev"
board which is powered over USB and gives you access to UART1. This
board is very similar to the Freescale development boards, and you
should be able to do meaningful testing with their binaries. The 50
RedBee-module pins are brought out to 0.1" header. It also has five
pushbuttons, a buzzer, temperature sensor, voltage reference, RGB led,
on/off switch, and potentiometer.

The second application board is the "sensor" board which is powered by
two AAA batteries. This board has an on/off switch, RGB led,
temperature sensor, voltage reference, push button, buzzer, and header
for additional GPIO and sensors. You can use this board to go truly
wireless and do full-scale range and power testing.

Regarding the software development, I'm heading roughly in the
following direction:

- develop firmware to create 802.15.4 pcap's for wireshark
- add flash driver to OpenOCD
- put some detailed tutorials on-line
- add more test code for the reset of the peripherals
(ADCs, timer details, AES, etc... etc...)
- continue to refine Contiki support
- continue to patiently wait for the next FreakZ release :)

... there is more, but this list is long enough!
